Set of six CAB 412 dining chairs designed by Mario Bellini and produced by Cassina, Italy. A landmark of Italian design — the world's first free-standing leather chair, conceived by Bellini from the relationship between skeleton and skin. Sixteen pieces of saddle leather in black are individually cut, hand-processed through fourteen stages, sewn and zipped over a tubular steel frame in a single fluid gesture. Part of the permanent collection of MoMA, New York. Retains the original Cassina maker's label to the underside of each seat.
